Vintage 1970's Necklaces

There's something very special about necklaces from the seventies.  They are big, brash and stylised and they shout look at me at the top of their necklacey voices. Here are a few great examples that I found on Etsy.

Chantal Loves Vintage

Hello Strangers :)

Sorry it's been awhile.

Please forgive me?

I'm here to let you all know that I have started a new blog and Etsy shop called Chantal Loves Vintage.  I did this because I didn't want to be tied down to selling and writing about vintage beads and charms only.  I will still be selling them, I will just be selling and chatting about other stuff too.

I would love to have kept Betty's Place up and running but I couldn't change my headers to remove the beads and charms but.  You guys probably didn't notice that and if you did probably don't think it's worth me worrying about....but it just niggled me.  My hugely talented sister designed the header for me but her computer died and so it was lost forever without being able to change.

I'll stop babbling now, sorry.

I really really hope to see you over at my new blog, I really love it and I hope you love it too. So drop by and say hello.  I promise I'll wave back.

Vintage/Retro Fair

Tabernacle Junction - Yeovil - 19th November 2011
Be there or be......well...missing out quite frankly.

I am super super excited about going to this this weekend.
Nothing like this happens in our sleepy rural town, so this is going to be brilliant.

This has all been put together brilliantly by Daisys Vintage Kitchen

My friend is having a stall there.  She makes the most amazing items out of vintage fabrics.  Look how totally fabulous this is.
This is from her shop Pica Pica on Etsy.  She runs this with her friend and between them they have lots of original vintage fabric for sale as well as these fab bags.

There is also a Burlesque Troop called Barmy Burlesque. To find out more about them go to their website Barmy Burlesque or visit their Facebook Page

Here's a few more fantastic stall holders

As well as the above stall holders, there are many more, plus there will be a hair and make up salon, music, cake, booze........it's just too perfect!
I have a sneaky suspicion that I am going to come back with an empty purse!!!

I emailed my sister in law about this and she is most excited about the pop up tea room.....this made me chuckle as I am most excited about the Troop of 1940's US Airborne.....IN UNIFORM!!!

So make sure you don't miss out on a truly fabulous day in the country and come and hang out back in time.

Vintage Beads

These little beauties have been listed in my Folksy Shop today.  These are the very last packs of these gorgeous vintage flower beads from the 1950's.  Once these beads have gone from my shop that's it, I am highly unlikely to find anymore!

I know I have already posted today but I just couldn't resist another quickie. I wanted to give you a quick sneaky peek at some of the gorgeous vintage buttons going into my shop soon.

New Buttons

They are super nice! They will be going into the shop in the sets photographed which included a pink mix, a set of grandad buttons (at least that's what I like to call them) a tortoiseshell mix and more.

Also, I thought I would share one of my recent journal pages. I haven't blogged about them much but this is one of my favs.

My Car Boot Finds

Yesterday, being the 1st Bank Holiday of the year, marked the first of a series of excellent car boots at a local village.  They hold them every Bank Holiday Monday and my mum, sisters and me look forward to them very much.  It's most upsetting when it rains, luckily this Monday was fine, a bit damp, very windy but we didn't care and we turned up in our finest wellies!

So I proudly present my car boot finds.

Folksy Friday

So, I thought it was about time I did a Folksy Friday on the wonderful world of Kitsch Jewellery. What could be more fun to wear, especially on these cold and damp days.  Bring a little bit of sunshine into your hearts!
