Another day, Another Doodle.

This time it's an empty comic stip.

So how are we all finding it? I am loving seeing what's inside your heads! You are all very talented!

And so we move on to my little brag.....sorry :D
Yesterday one of my journal pages from the Journaling for a Cause class was put into Flickr's Explore section.  Now I am guessing this happens to thousands of pictures everyday but I was chuffed to bits!!

Enough about that, get going and Doodle!!

Day 9 Shmoodlers

So Day 9 is all about the animal inside us all....

Heres a sneaky look at my first page for Janels Journaling for a Cause class. Her prompt was a welcome page with 5 adjectives describing your life. I had loads of fun doing this.

 I really enjoyed doing this one but I can tell you now, that I didn't realise how long cross hatching takes to do!!

Day 8 Week 2 Woohoo

Well, week 1 was a roaring success.  You guys are AWESOME hahaha No I really mean it.  I am so happy that so many of you are enjoying this Doodle Challenge so much.  Look at these doodles, cool eh?

Doodle Schmoodle Challenge

I have got a busy time ahead of me now, we are in week 2 of the doodle challenge so have lots more fun doodles to do (ssh don't tell anyone but I am already a day and half behind!.......will catch up today)  I have also started my own art journal, which I am not very good at but I have only done 3 pages so will hopefully learn alot about myself and my style.  Today is also the first day of my Journaling for A Cause course run by Janel from Run With Scissors.  And the MOST important thing....the school holidays have started!!!

WOW, Day 7 already!  A whole week of doodles!  I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I am.  The flickr pool looks amazing especially with so many different styles.

In case any of you were wondering I doodle when you doodle.  In fact yesterday I got stuck for inspiration almost all day!  It wasn't until about 4pm when I came up with an idea. I really enjoyed it once I got going.

How do you find inspiration for your doodles? Do you sit and stare at the empty page? Or does it just happen straight away?

Day 2 Doodlers

Well doodle schmoodlers, yesterday was brilliant!  I was secretly dreading it and thinking that the Flickr Pool would have just 1 person in it....me!

But hazaar, I am NOT billy no mates :D  Thank you all for taking this challenge to heart.  Your doodles were amazing and we even have an 11 year old joining us.

So anyways, I did explain that I am a big child (even though I am 39) and that a lot of my prompts will be equally childish didn't I?  Well I thought we'd walk straight of the plank and into Day 2, My Pirate Self.
Make of it what ye will me hearties!!

Shiver me timbers! Don't ye be drinkin too much grog! 

 And just a quick note that it's never too late to join in!!  So spread the word, the more the merrier!

And I have enjoyed enormously reading your blogs! 

The Doodle Schmoodle Begins!

Today is the first day of my Doodle Schmoodle month! Day 1, yippee.

As Janel did from Run With Scissors the logical way to start a doodle journal month is to doodle all about you! So with that in mind the doodle for day 1 is entitled Me Me Me......

So this is what you should do, print this image (you may want to change the image size in your printing options to fit your journal) doodle, glue, paint, scribble, colour to your hearts content. Paste this into your journal and then when you have finished, it would be cool to see them in the Doodle Schmoodle Flickr Pool.

OK scoot, go doodle!

So the 30 day journal challenge from Run With Scissors has come to and end. I had so much fun doing it and would love to thank Janel very much for setting this most excellent challenge. I enjoyed every single minute of it. So much so that I thought I would do a little journal doodle challenge for you guys to join in with.

What's going to happen I hear you all gasp! Well I have made some doodle pages which I will post everyday for a month (although if I go on holiday.... there may be a mini break or I may just post several pages at once!)

All you have to do is print the page and doodle on it then paste it into your journal. I have made the pages A4 but you can reduce the size in your printing options to anything you want. Once printed, just go crazy, doodle, paint, glue, smear whatever takes your fancy!

Don't expect anything deep and meaningful though as I am a little teeny weeny bit on the childish side, which some might say is a good thing in a 39 year old but others may not.

I have set up a Flickr group Doodle Schmoodle for you all to upload you pages and see what everyone else did with theirs. Go on show off to the World :)

I am going to post the first image tomorrow. I am really looking forward to this and I really hope some of you join me on this.

Sneaky Peek

I know I have already posted today but I just couldn't resist another quickie. I wanted to give you a quick sneaky peek at some of the gorgeous vintage buttons going into my shop soon.



They are super nice! They will be going into the shop in the sets photographed which included a pink mix, a set of grandad buttons (at least that's what I like to call them) a tortoiseshell mix and more.

Also, I thought I would share one of my recent journal pages. I haven't blogged about them much but this is one of my favs.

Day 17 of the 30 day Journal Challenge

The Prompt today was to choose a day in your life and journal it.  I chose Sunday as we went to Lyme Regis rock pooling and then watched England Schmingland play......or not play as the case may be!
