My Futile Attempts

You may or may not know that I am in the (very slow) process of setting up my own website. I bought a web building package all gungho like and then set about messing around with it. I didn't have any clear plans at the time and so it just looks messy. I have now changed all my original thoughts on it and have the beginnings of something exciting.

I thought I would share some of my first ideas with you just to show you my poor attempts at making web buttons for the shop. This idea has now been scraped so feel free to have a laugh riot, I promise I won't cry........much....no honestly I won't :)

Don't worry, these will not be making an appearance in the new shop!

I'm Obsessed

I seem to have developed a new obsession, one which I cannot afford and will never get round to satisfying........Blythe!  I am not sure when the obsession started or why in fact.  I am a 38 year old mother of 3 and feel slightly weird about wanting a doll.  That said I really do want one.  But what is is about Blythe that makes them so wantable?  Is it the oversized head, the fantastic clothes, the individuality of each one or the community that goes with them?  All I can say is I am smitten and will just have to satisfy my need with looking at all the great photos on flickr of them.

I am slightly jealous of all the Blythe owners, however if I win the lottery my first port of call with be Zaloa27, that's for sure and I am already making a list of wants on mine.

I Made These

So, last weekend we had a family gathering where we all had to bring something along.  I made meringues, I have never made them before because I always thought they were too difficult!!  However, they were surprisingly easy and tasted delicious.  The most difficult bit for me was putting the mixture into the piping bag, now I am sure there is a knack to it and i would love to hear it if there is as I was in a terrible mess.  I wish I could have taken a photo to show you but my hands were covered in sticky eggs and sugar.

My Car Boot Finds

Yesterday, being the 1st Bank Holiday of the year, marked the first of a series of excellent car boots at a local village.  They hold them every Bank Holiday Monday and my mum, sisters and me look forward to them very much.  It's most upsetting when it rains, luckily this Monday was fine, a bit damp, very windy but we didn't care and we turned up in our finest wellies!

Bunnies

These are my 2 little Easter Bunnies.  They are entering the Easter Bonnet Competition today.  I passed a parent on the way into school this morning and she said "Oh, I think we spent too much time on our hat"  I did have to snigger a bit, but wasn't quite sure if I should have been offended....my 2 are very proud of their bunny ears!

It's the Easter Fayre today and with 2 of them at school it's cots me a small fortune!!  Best start hunting for pennies :)
